Is your program certified?

Our men’s programs are certified by the Ministry of Health’s Assisted Living Registry.

How much does it cost?

Our program is $2,100 per month and includes room, board, as well as a comprehensive curriculum including essential transportation needs. This fee is set to make treatment accessible to as many people as possible, however we depend heavily on donations to cover the full cost of treatment.

Do I need to be detoxed?

Everyone is different and it often depends on the types of substances you were using as well as how long you have been in active addiction. Please call and talk to an intake worker for more information.

How long is your program?

Our program is open-ended. There is no “hard” measurement of completion however a successful re-entry into the work force, a start on continuing education, recovery from financial devastation, and reunification or reconciliation with family are a few key indicators.

What does coming into treatment look like?

It can be daunting to go from the chaos of active addiction to living life in a recovery house. Each client is welcomed by staff and other clients.  For the first while there are restrictions on outings as people settle into their new routines. It takes a little time to become medically and emotionally stable.  Incrementally restrictions turn into earned privileges as stabilization grows.  Clients develop bonds that see one another through hard times and good ones, and wider community ties develop that lead to steps toward independence.

What does a typical day look like?

Each day has a routine, starting with breakfast, daily check-ins with one another, classes, time for step work and free time.

Why do clients leave early?

Entering treatment is a large commitment. Entrenched mindsets are difficult to overcome.  Our staff are experienced and well versed in helping clients overcome that initial apprehension about staying in treatment long-term. Many of our staff and volunteers are already enjoying long-term recovery.
